MY JOURNEY

This journal is about transcendence and my life's journey. It is an odyssey that presents opportunities for spiritual growth through joy, sorrow, self-discovery, and acceptance. It is about cultivating love in its purest form and finding serenity. I've caught glimpses of it now and then.

THE ROAD BEHIND ME

Thus far in my journey I've experienced German food; life in small, peaceful German villages; the joy of friendships (even if we don't speak the same language); new adventures from traveling and living in a few countries. I've discovered what it's like to live independently and that there is life after a divorce; my passion for dog rescue and my ability to overcome allergies for the joy of loving and living with dogs; my submissive self and another dimension of love that unfolds because of it; depression and the key to finding stability; and my insecurities about relationships and consequential self-revelations.

--I've lived on Air Force Bases/Army Posts in NY, SC, CA, Germany, and the Philippines. On my own I've lived in Atlanta and finally set up residence in NM in 1989.

--I was married for 8 yrs and divorced in 2000. I'm happy to say I've maintained a good, solid friendship with my ex-husband.

--I ran a dog rescue, Australian Cattle Dogs in Need of Kindness (ACDink), for several years until I ran myself financially into the ground. I admit I'm no good at fundraising. For now the rescue is in hiatus and I am in a state of torn confusion. It's very difficult for me not to rescue; but I know I have to be able to take care of myself and my 2 heeler monsters first.

--I realized my submissive self in July 2004. On October 15, 2004, destiny played its part in uniting me with my first Dom. Over the course of two years, our relationship was amazingly intense, tough and emotional; but balanced with calm and joyful moments of being. Some day I hope to experience that once again. I also discovered that I am not a 24/7 TPE slave.

THE PATH AHEAD

I continue to explore ways of achieving balance in various aspects of my life--keeping fit mentally and physically, finding the job of my dreams, a life outside of work consisting of hobbies, friends, and social activities.

--Fitness is the glue that keeps me together. I taught fitness classes at UNM for 7 yrs. I run 15-20 miles a week. (I have to for my sanity. If you've ever lived with heelers you know why.) My diagnosis with depression has spurred me to explore pilates, as well as alternative therapies such as acupuncture and Chinese medicine.

--I work with Access databases (not VB) at my current job. I'd rather be doing something else for a living; but this pays the bills. I'm more interested in the helping/creative type work. Finding out what exactly that is my goal for this lifetime.

--I would like to explore tarot and volunteer work for non-profit dog rescue events as time permits. I've joined a hiking club and am looking forward to exploring the breathtaking beauty of NM once again. I've been taking classical Indian dance (Bharata Natyam) lessons since March 06 and I absolutely love it. I've done some modeling shoots and still trying to sort out where and if I fit in this artistic endeavor. I want to create something beautiful but realize I am no runway model nor am I a buxom playboy model. I've also been delving into the Love Cards/Cards of Destiny. Fascinating stuff. This is a very in depth system incorporating astrology as well as past lives and future cycles. It uses a deck of playing cards and the science of Sacred Symbols of the Ancients. It is interesting that there are 52 cards in a deck of playing cards, 52 sounds in the Sanskrit language, 52 petals of the lotus and 52 weeks in a year.

--I would love to find a female submissive friend to confide in, chat with, and go out with occasionally. If you're otherwise, don't let it stop you from friending! One can never know who will be the best friend you've ever had until you meet people.

--I have the best hopes that I will find my Soulmate, Master, Partner, Best Friend, and Lover; the one who connects with me on all levels--spiritually and physically.
