Nov. 15th, 2009 @ 06:33 pm Meet Oxana~!
Oxana, our new Australian Cattle Dog, stole our hearts today. She was absolutely adorable, well-behaved, and house-broken! Thank goodness. Her original name was Radar, but Russ and I didn't think it really suit her. So I thought about how much I liked the names Russ used for his characters on EVE, and although I don't like the game itself, his character name was perfect for her. Zeek and Oxana got along great, and we're really happy to add another ACD to the family. =) The woman and the Humane Society said they were a match made in heaven. It's funny, she'd look right at me for a picture, and just as I'd snap it, she'd move. D: Somehow, we managed to get another purebred ACD from the Humane Society, kind of strange.

Apparently we didn't end up taking video like I thought, but I'll post some when she's home after she's been spayed. =)

Nov. 15th, 2009 @ 03:44 pm Tarot of the Crone
Current Mood: busy
The Tarot of the Crone site has a wonderful place to go for free readings. While I might not always agree with the individual card designs (when it comes to Tarot, I can be very picky), I have used this site often for readings and found them to be both insightful and thought provoking.

One of the better 'free reading' sites I've found; thought I'd share.

Hi. I have two mixed dogs. One is a 1 1/2 y/o Jack Russell and Poodle I named Abby, and she was the runt, so she's only 5 lbs and probably will be for the rest of her life. She's the most spunkiest biggest 5 lb goofball of energy I have ever seen in my entire life. She definatly brightens up my life.

I also just adopted another terrior poodle mix, Sonja, from the Humane Society about two months ago. The Humane Society told me she was terrier poodle, ( I assumed since they said the scar on her back could probably be from being hit by a car, that they had found her) and the vet didn't deny it when I told them. The Humane Society groomed her before I saw her, but now that her fur is growing and I look at her more closely I don't know. She does weight about 12 lbs, and they agree on about being 3 years old. Some people have suggested Cocker Spaniel, and I saw a picture of Bischon Frise (sp?) at the store the other day that made me say it looked like Sonja, without the Terrier part. And then I did a game online to match up the breeds of mix dogs and another terrier looking dog came up, it started with "b" but I can't remember. Something like wippet...it has the same kind of curled up tail with the fur hanging off it.

Heres some pictures if people want to try and guess. I don't have any picture at the moment with her fluffiness though.
The black one is Abby, and the white one is Sonja.

I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I was on Bodyline a few weeks ago and found
http://www.bodyline.co.jp/bodyline/frame01.asp?type=gothic
which, unfortunately, I have decided I cannot live without. However, their size 2L sold out after about ONE day! ;o;
I emailed them and asked with MANY pleases to restock it and they said they had no plans to! I'm going to go crazy!
I have looked all over the internet for this outfit.
Anyway, I did find an ebay seller who was selling it: cosplay007.
Now, I am hesitant to buy from this person, because, while they have tons of positive feedback, most of their pictures are obviously stolen. This makes me pretty concerned. I don't want to get a blob of failcloth! Also, I don't like that their name is "cosplay" but that's irrelevant >.>
I'd hate to buy from a seller who is obviously making knockoffs, but if Bodyline won't restock, I don't have much of a choice!
So, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to if I could get it elsewhere or what i should do.
Thanks!

Hi. I'm relatively new to this community and relatively new to Aussie cattle dogs. Here's a photo of Taz. She's eight months old now, but is a bit younger here.

Now for a question. She has this habit of digging divots in the yard, and while she does she yaps and yaps and yaps. She digs for a while, then noses around in the hole like she's found something, but there's never anything there. Is this a trait of ACDs that I don't know about, or just a quirk of hers?

so it's Loki's 'gotcha' day.

2 years ago today, I took an ill-advised trip to my local pound "just to look" and ended up giving my heart to a 5.5 mo old 'Abel'.

After pleading and wheedling with my then fiance, I went and picked him up and saved him from the big 'E' that he was already slated for.

Seriously, how could ANYone have not wanted this face:

and now, I can't believe I've had my little spaz-mutt Loki for 2 whole years!

a few more pics and a vid )

so today i'm a bit sentimental over my little acd/bc wonder mutt and just wanted to share. :)

Everyone remembers when Obama bowed to the Saudi Prince, showing a position of subservience to another world leader. His press people were quick to say he was not bowing but he was checking out the camel shit on the Princes shoes or something lame..

but Yesterday 11-14-09 Lightening strikes again.

Once again Obama, the worst President the US has ever had, even more pitiful than Carter, does it again.

U.S. President Barack Obama bows as he is greeted by Japanese Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko as he arrives at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo, Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009

One needs to wonder what he is saying or apologizing for?

We are sorry for putting our Fleet in Pearl Harbor or maybe

We are so sorry for teaching you a lesson at Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Maybe he is promising that his new presidential limo will be a Toyota and the new Air Force One will be built by Mitsubishi...

Who knows but one thing is very evident, he is showing a position of subservience to another leader.

I cannot wait to see how the White House Press Corps spin this.
